John Snell - South West
John’s 30 year career in policing included managing murder enquiries, heading up the force’s intelligence unit and leading the child protection department. For the last 9 years of his police career he was District Commander in Somerset. He also worked at the National Police Staff College in Hampshire with the ‘high flyers’. Tasked with developing their personal effectiveness and enhancing their organisational understanding, he is convinced of the need for excellence in leadership.
Realising that his passion for improving leadership skills could continue outside the police service, he joined Footdown in October 2007 to lead the South West Fifteen.
John leads the South West Fifteen leadership coaching and mentoring group.
