Bath
The Bath Fifteen was the inaugural Footdown group, established in 2003 under the leadership of the founder Andrew Mercer. The group still contains many of its founding members, including the now group leader, Mike Roe, who, with the support and encouragement of the group, made the transition from member to leader.
Footdown’s mission is to help CEOs and leaders “get it right first time” and so accelerate the speed of which their business/organisation grow. The eclectic mix and diversity of members provides a real edge, challenge and inspiration to the issues discussed. It is not an environment for the feint hearted. There is a real passion to help each other be the best you can be.
Global chairman and CEOs, entrepreneurs, a national rugby coach, a world famous musician, an Olympic athlete, and business founders are just some of the members who meet on a monthly basis at The Royal Crescent Hotel in Bath.
The group have been privileged to listen and engage with some world renowned speakers over the yeas, all providing vital pieces of the leadership puzzle.
This year’s September Advance meeting saw the group embark on an Olympic rowing challenge at the Leander club, Henley, followed by an annual input from Nigel Risner.
Asked how they felt about being in the Bath Fifteen, the Members responded:
“I feel it is a privilege to be able to engage with genuine people to have difficult conversations and to share.” Tony Taylor – Chief Operating Officer, 2OC
“I feel very privileged to be a member of the Bath 15. It never ceases to amaze me how fortunate I am to have found such a safe and inspiring group who have me as a member.” Ken Scott – CEO, ILX
“Somewhere I can share thoughts and issues that otherwise I would never discuss.” Nicola Alexander – Founder/CEO, Crèche Out
“I feel privileged, I feel supported, I feel responsible” Charles Fallon – Founder/Partner S.I.Partners
“I feel very excited and challenged meeting with this group” Andy Robinson – Head Coach, Scotland Rugby
