Dr Mike Carter - Head of Consulting

Dr Mike Carter is the head of Consulting at Footdown, he has extensive experience at Senior Management level in the private and public sectors. He is a specialist in the leadership of organisational change and holds a doctorate from the University of Bath. For 10 years he was the managing director of Stratagem Consulting and is the former Director of Executive Development, the Centre for Leadership Studies, University of Exeter Business School.

Mike has consulted in most developed countries of the world for organisations that have included: ING Bank, The Foreign & Commonwealth Office, the NHS, EMI Music, Universal Music & Gillette. For 3 years he led a project with Apple Corps (The Beatles) and Cirque du Soleil assisting these creative companies to collaborate in developing The Beatles Love Show – now the most successful show in Vegas.

Mike has also chaired a number of conference events such as the National Renal Conference for the NHS. Appointed a Fellow,  at the University of Exeter he has taught on numerous MBA and executive development programmes in the areas of leadership and organisational change.

He is also the founder and chairman of the Street Children of Nepal Trust, a UK registered charity that seeks to alleviate the suffering of destitute children in Nepaland help prevent the trafficking of young girls into India.

Working with organisations Mike helps them adapt to change, with Boards he helps develop strategy and with individuals he provides executive coaching.
