We are pleased to announce that Footdown’s second Leadership Coaching Programme will start with a two-day course at Ston Easton Park on 23rd- 24th February. It is a nine-month leadership coaching programme which is aimed at anyone with people management responsibility who would like to develop their coaching skills and understand how leadership coaching can benefit individuals and organisations. The programme is accredited by the ILM and participants will work towards a professional qualification (Level 5 Certificate in Leadership Coaching & Mentoring).
We thought it would be useful to use feedback gained from participants on the first course to provide a little more information:
What would I learn? “A huge amount about the nature of coaching, a little about myself and a good start to the work that needs to be put into getting to be great at coaching”.
How will I apply the learning when I am coaching? “I will utilise the knowledge I’ve acquired to provide a more focused coaching session to my coachees and will hopefully conduct the sessions in a more efficient manner given my understanding of the GROW coaching model and the adult learning cycle.”
“I will use learning in wider context – try and create awareness & responsibility i.e. be less directive”
We are currently accepting people onto the second course in February. If you are interested, please contact Sam Elly
